Basic Functions and Responsibilities
The President-Elect is an officer of the Association and shall perform the duties of the President in the event of the absence or incapacity of the President to serve. Performs duties as assigned by the President.
- Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides assistance to the President of the Association as requested.
- Attends the NASFAA Leadership Conference.
- Serves on the Association Governance Committee.
- Responsible for the timely selection of the annual conference host city and hotel facility according to the rotation of states outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual. Provides regular reports during Council meetings on the progress of conference planning.
- Selects committee chairs who will serve during the next year.
- Serves as Parliamentarian of the Association.
- Serves as a member of the Nominations and Elections Committee.
- Encouraged to attend at least one meeting of every committee in preparation for the presidency.
- Serves as a non-voting member of the NASFAA Board of Directors.
Term of Service:
One year commencing with the annual conference. The President-Elect automatically becomes President the following year.
